What happened

A case of carbon monoxide poisoning was reported at a restaurant situated in Piazza Argentina, Milan. The fire brigade was alerted to the situation when certain employees began to display symptoms of acute intoxication, necessitating the prompt intervention of medical professionals. Following the deployment of the CBRN unit, the provincial fire brigade detected a high presence of monoxide in the restaurant. As a precautionary measure, the entire block of flats was evacuated. However, the occupants of the building were not affected and were able to return to their respective flats at a later stage. The condition of the five employees suffering from intoxication was cause for concern. After the initial treatment at the scene, they were transported by yellow code to Niguarda and Policlinico hospitals. An investigation has been launched by the relevant health authorities to ascertain the cause of the incident.
