Three individuals were found to be intoxicated, with one requiring hospitalisation in a red code situation, due to a gas leakage in a residential building in Collemarino, a suburb of Ancona, Italy. It is alleged that a gas leak occurred in the basement of the building, resulting in the carbon monoxide poisoning of three individuals residing therein. According to the preliminary reconstruction of events, it appears that the three individuals had ignited portable heaters to provide warmth, but the oxygen supply was depleted, resulting in the simultaneous release of the lethal gas. The precise cause of the gas leak remains uncertain, as the rescue team discovered all individuals present within the residence to be unconscious upon entering the premises. Also present was a German shepherd dog, which exhibited no significant adverse effects from the carbon monoxide exposure. The investigation is ongoing, to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident.
