What happened

A new positive case of African swine fever (ASF) has been identified in Liguria, bringing the total number of cases in the region to 1,030. The latest positive case was detected in Genoa, where 264 cases have been recorded. In Piedmont, no new cases of ASF have been observed in wild boar or pig farms. The number of municipalities in which at least one case of ASF has been identified remains unchanged at 164.
