The International Conference ‘CBRNe Summit Europe 2024’, held in Budapest from 11 to 13 March, has been conducted with the endorsement of the NATO Joint Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Centre of Excellence in collaboration with the CBRNe Observatory for Security and Defence (OSDIFE), the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” – Department of Electronic Engineering, and the University of the Republic of San Marino – Center for Security Studies. The European Centre for Disaster Medicine (ECDM) acted as a scientific partner to the event. Over 200 individuals from more than 20 countries participated in the Summit, which also featured contributions from 25 exhibitors representing a diverse array of sectors. The three-day event convened experts, technicians, scholars, both civilian and military, for an in-depth examination of the latest advancements, emerging scenarios, and challenges in the fields of security, defence, and CBRNe risk. Additionally, the significance of international cooperation in mitigating asymmetric and unconventional risks was discussed.
