Taiwanese Kuosheng Nuclear Power Plant Unit 2 reactor has been taken offline and decommissioned due to the expiry of its 40-year operating license, as established by Taiwan’s Nuclear Phase-Out Policy. In response to extreme weather, Taipower adjusted its annual repair plan and shortened the time, for existing units, continuing to strengthen the power grid, and in the past five years, TWD 100.9 billion (USD 3.3 billion) has been invested in power distribution equipment impowerment.
