About 70 pct of mine clearance work completed in Tboung Khmum

Senior Minister Ly Thuch, First Vice President of the Cambodian Mine Action and Victim Assistance Authority (CMAA), announced that 70 percent of the mine clearance work in Tboung Khmum. Senior Minister Thuch, inspected the demining activities in Choam Kravien commune, Memot district launched under “Samdech Techo Project for Mine Action” with the theme “Providing safe land, creating Smiles”. He confirmed that the demining work under the project was achieved 70 percent of the planned 4,687,317 metres, which is equivalent to 90 minefields. The deminers detected and destroyed 76 anti-personnel mines, 15 anti-tank mines and 1,080 unexploded ordnances.
