Third dengue case in Abruzzo

The Complex Operative Unit of the Epidemiological Hygiene and Public Health Service of Lanciano-Vasto-Chieti has reported a third case of dengue relating to a patient resident in Ortona (Chieti). The Extraordinary Commissioner of the Municipality of Ortona has adopted a new ordinance to implement specific localised measures to prevent the transmission of the virus, through disinfestation from the place where the patient became infected, for a radius of at least 200 metres, including both public and private areas, i.e. courtyards, squares, gardens, and terraces.
