What happened

As reported by Dawn, seven workers from Multan lost their lives in a terrorist attack in the Panjgur district of Balochistan. The victims, whose identities have been established as Sajid, Shafiq, Fayyaz, Iftikhar, Salman, Khalid, and Allah Wasia, were subjected to an assault while in a state of repose. The assailants gained access to the residence by force and opened fire indiscriminately. Another worker was injured and police officers transported the victims to hospital. The workers, originally from Shujabad, had been hired for construction work. Authorities have confirmed that it was a terrorist attack and investigations are ongoing. President Zardari and Prime Minister Sharif condemned the episode, promising continued commitment to the fight against terrorism.
