What happened

The Italian Ministry of Health has issued two food recalls due to a possible chemical risk to consumers. The recalls concern two batches of sultanas and one batch of mixed nuts and dried fruit. The two affected foodstuffs are manufactured by the company EgeSun GmbH at its production facility in Oyten, Lower Saxony, Germany. The recall was provoked by the discovery of an unidentified “quality deviation” within the product, which could pose a chemical hazard to consumers. As a precautionary measure, the Ministry of Health cautions consumers who have purchased the aforementioned batches not to consume them and to return the packaging to the point of sale.
