What happened

Following the recently updated Immunisation Calendar of the Sicilian Region, the Vaccination Clinic of the University Hospital “Paolo Giaccone” in Palermo has organised three open days for vaccinations against the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). As indicated by the hospital, on 19, 23, and 24 September, the adjuvant vaccine against RSV will be made available to vulnerable categories, in particular those over 60 years of age with chronic degenerative diseases (e.g. pulmonary, cardiological, immunosuppression or renal). Furthermore, the vaccine will be offered to those over 75 years of age even without any pre-existing conditions. The vaccine will be made available to the aforementioned categories on 1 October in the national territory.
