A Jawan of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was killed in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast, suspected to have triggered by Naxalites, near the Chintavagu River in the village of Dharmaramin – Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur District. The incident occurred while a team of the CRPF’s 196th Battalion was engaged in an operation to dominate the area. When the patrol team was isolating the area, the officer fell under the impact of the explosion, which led to his death, as reported by local media.
