Dengue in Bologna: third case

Three new Dengue cases have been confirmed in the Bologna province, adding to the initial case in Sasso Marconi and another in Via Borgonuovo, within the city. Following the third Dengue fever report in the metropolitan area, the Bologna Municipality has initiated preventive measures. These include disinfestation procedures around the Sant’Orsola Emergency Room to curb further infections. The actions are focused on public spaces visited by the infected person, especially near the emergency room of Sant’Orsola Hospital. The designated treatment area encompasses residential structures within a 100-meter perimeter of the hospital. The directive required residents of the specified areas to eliminate any standing water on their balconies, terraces, or window ledges.
