What happened

According to the WHO “Weekly Bulletin on Outbreaks and other Emergencies”, between epidemiological weeks 1-35 of 2022, 599 cases of suspected Bubonic Plague have been reported, with 10 deaths (CFR 1.7%). All cases have been reported from the Rethy health zone, in Ituri Province. Lokpa health area has reported the majority of suspected cases (468, 78.1%) in 2022.
