Man killed, two injured in Bannu VBIED blast

Police reported that an improvised explosive device, placed in a motorbike (VBIED), detonated near the Bakakhel Mandi area in Bannu, resulting in the death of one man and injury of two others. Following the incident, the police quickly cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to arrest those involved in the incident. Official sources report an increase in terrorism in the country, especially in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, since the ceasefire between Pakistan and TTP militants ended in November 2022. Since then, Pakistani security forces have carried out numerous operations across the country, arresting terrorists and their facilitators, and thwarting several attacks in recent months.
