The latest update from the Istituto Superiore di Sanità ’s Bulletin reports fifteen new human cases of West Nile virus infection from July 25 to 31, 2024. Since early May 2024, there have been 28 confirmed human cases, marking an increase of 13 cases since the last report. Additionally, two fatalities have been recorded, one in Veneto and another in Friuli Venezia Giulia.
