What happened

The Nigerian Army has called for collaboration with stakeholders in the north-east to address the threat posed by Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). This call was made by Abubakar Haruna, Acting General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 7th Division, during a counter-IED awareness seminar in Maiduguri. The General Officer Commanding (GoC) particularly highlighted the significance of stakeholder contributions to the seminar, which served to enhance security in Maiduguri and foster trust within the local community.
