According to the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), a hand grenade exploded due to heat inside the Jamshoro police station. The explosive device, stored in the police station’s storeroom, exploded after the room overheated. The blast injured eight people including two assistant sub-inspectors (ASIs), five other police personnel and a suspect. Even if the explosion was attributed to heat, the DIG has indicated that an investigation is currently being conducted to ascertain the precise cause of the event.
