According to the WHO “Weekly Bulletin on Outbreaks and other Emergencies” (week 26: 24 to 30 June 2024), the Ministry of Health of Togo has recorded 197 dengue fever cases since May 7, 2024. The cases were mainly reported in the Lomé health district and no deaths were recorded. This is the first reported dengue fever outbreak in Togo according to the International Health Regulations (IHR 2005).
