According to the WHO “Weekly Bulletin on Outbreaks and Other Emergencies” (week 26: 24 to 30 June 2024), Ethiopia has reported a total of 2,321,931 malaria cases and 409 associated deaths. Cases have been reported across 14 regions, with the Oromia region being the epicenter, accounting for most cases (40.0%), totaling 69,203 cases. The Amhara region follows with 43,635 cases (24.6%), and the South-Western Ethiopian Peoples’ Region (SWEPRS) reports 19,150 cases (10.8%). This data must be considered collected from the beginning of this solar year.
