What happened

The Nigerian Army has announced that its troops have neutralised six terrorists in Igboro Forest, Arochukwu Local Government Area of Abia State. The raid, conducted by Operation UDO KA, targeted the camp of the banned Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed wing, the Eastern Security Network (ESN), following a recent attack on troops in Aba. During the operation, an improvised explosive devices (IED) were found, and one soldier sustained minor injuries. The terrorists were overpowered, resulting in six deaths, while others escaped with injuries. The troops recovered various weapons, including rocket-propelled grenade launchers (RPGs), artillery guns, and bombs, and destroyed the camp along with Biafran flags and vehicles.
