What happened

On Monday, June 17, a man was arrested in Alameda County, California, for detonating a bomb on a UC Berkeley police department vehicle and three more arson attacks during the pro-Palestinian protests on the Berkeley campus. The man is now in prison, accused of arson, possession, and use of destructive devices. The investigation was handled by Cal Fire’s Office of the State Fire Marshal Arson and Bomb Unit, UC Berkeley police, and the FBI. The fires provoked no damage and there were no injuries.
