What happened

According to the WHO “Weekly Bulletin on Outbreaks and other Emergencies” (Week 21: 20 – 26 May 2024), Senegal has reported 23 confirmed dengue cases. The cases, ranging in age from 15 to 62 years with a median age of 32 years, include nine females and 14 males. The majority of cases have been reported in the Dakar region (15 cases, 65%), followed by Louga (4 cases, 17%), Saint-Louis (2 cases, 9%), Matam (1 case, 4%), and Thies (1 case, 4%).
