Bengal: Illegal firecracker factory blast in Kolaghat

According to local sources, an explosion occurred at an illegal firecracker factory in Kolaghat, East Midnapore district. It blew up an entire building and damaged several adjacent houses. No casualties were reported.
Fire brigades intervened on the spot and put out the fire the next day. Several illegal firecracker factories operate in the area and another major explosion occurred at Khadikul in May last year, killing nine people.
