Three Spanish tourists were killed and one injured in a shooting in the city of Bamiyan, located in central Afghanistan. Additionally, Afghan officials reported that an Afghan citizen was killed in the attack, and seven others were wounded, including four foreign nationals. For this reason, the area remains alarmed and in fact, the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has advised against traveling to the destination or staying in those places.
The perpetrators of the attack remain unidentified, and no armed groups have claimed responsibility so far. However, Abdul Mateen Qani, the spokesperson for the country’s Interior Ministry, has confirmed the arrest of four individuals.
