What happened

According to a joint statement from the Interior Ministry, the Prosecutor General’s Office, and the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAM), an explosion occurred in the Tartar district killing one civilian. A man grazing animals in an uncleared area was hit by the detonation, which was caused by an unexploded ordnance (UXO). He was killed on the spot.
The Tartar District Prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation into the event.
