Afghanistan: Sticky IED blast in Badakhshan

According to officials, a magnetic improvised explosive device placed on a motorcycle went off in the Jawozon area of the city of Faizabad, Badakhshan province. The device exploded while a police convoy was passing through the area for a poppy removal operation. According to the Interior Ministry, the explosion killed three policemen and injured five others. As of now, there has been no claim of responsibility for the explosion by any group or individual.
