What happened

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has presented the second edition of the “IAM Hub”, a digital space dedicated to the exchange of information regarding air taxi services and drones, with a particular emphasis on safeguarding privacy. This new version includes a completely new section that focuses on privacy, providing guidelines and practical support to address citizens’ privacy concerns. Among the new features introduced, there is the “Critical Area Calculator”, designed to specifically assess operational risk. The project is funded by the European Commission and the European Parliament and is the seventh major action of the European Commission’s Drone Strategy 2.0 to promote a smart and sustainable European drone market.
