The Africa CDC’s Weekly Event-Based Surveillance Report – Africa CDC Epidemic Intelligence Report (28 April 2024) has recorded a total of 309 yellow fever cases—14 confirmed, 9 probable, and 286 suspected—and six deaths (CFR: 1.94%) across six African Union Member States: CAR (37 cases), Cameroon (8), Congo (120), Gabon (28), South Sudan (115; 6 deaths), and Uganda (1). Recently, South Sudan reported 11 new cases with no additional fatalities.
