There have been 49 deaths reported, with a case fatality rate (CFR) of 0.14%, across 10 AU Member States: Burkina Faso (21,352 cases; 38 deaths), Cameroon (1 case), Chad (983 cases), Ethiopia (1,725 cases; 2 deaths), Kenya (88 cases), Mali (3,318 cases; 4 deaths), Mauritius (6,779 cases; 5 deaths), Sao Tome and Principe (9 cases), Senegal (23 cases), and Sudan (1,580 cases). In the past week, there were 2,905 new cases and two deaths reported from Burkina Faso, Mali, and Mauritius.
