On April 26th, the largest NATO cyber-defense exercise concluded in Tallinn, Estonia, involving about 4,000 representatives from over 40 countries. During the Locked Shields 2024 exercise, teams collaborated to form a broad coalition, sharing information to strengthen collective security, rather than competing for individual victories. The exercise emphasized the importance of cooperation among NATO member countries, joining forces to counter cyber threats considered common risks to all participating countries.
The main goal of the exercise was not only to test the capabilities of each participating country but also to develop an extraterritorial coalition ready to respond effectively to cyber threats. The teams that achieved the highest scores during the exercise were Latvia, Finland-Poland, and Estonia-France, demonstrating excellent skills in the field of cyber-defense.
