What happened

An explosion caused by a gas leak resulted in the collapse of a two-storey building in Laconi, in the province of Oristano, Sardinia. Two individuals were extracted from the rubble of the building and immediately rescued. The fire brigade was called in to secure the building and conduct structural checks on adjacent houses. The probable cause of the explosion is the loss of LPG from a cylinder connected to a stove. Further details on the accident dynamics are not available at this time.
