The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kosovo, in collaboration with the Agency for Information Society, conducted a cybersecurity test to assess the ability of its officials to recognize emails infected with computer viruses. During the simulation, about 7,000 public officials received false communications that concealed a potential cyber attack.
This test’s results have demonstrated public officials’ awareness of cyber threats and the need to be cautious when opening and reading emails. Those who believe the false information will receive notifications to increase caution. Furthermore, the Ministry will organize training courses on cybersecurity to further improve the officials’ preparedness.
