What happened

Two workers were seriously injured in an explosion at a petrol station on the SS 106 road on the southern outskirts of Crotone (Italy). The explosion took place in an underground room where pumps for refuelling cars are located. The two injured were maintenance workers carrying out scheduled work. Fire and police investigations are underway to identify the cause of the accident. No further details of the incident could be provided at this time.
