What happened

According to local authorities, ten people have been killed and 20 others injured when a commercial vehicle hit an Improvised Explosive Device. The vehicle exploded after driving over the landmine believed to have been planted around NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp Wamakko (Mosquito Camp) for the troops of Sector 3 Operation Hadin Kai of the Nigerian Army. The IED was reportedly planted by terrorists suspected to be members of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) in Borno State.
