U.S Air Force Research Laboratory has announced the successful flight of the XQ-67A, an Off-Board Sensing Station uncrewed air vehicle at the General Atomics Gray Butte Flight Operations Facility near Palmdale, California. The XQ-67A is the first of a second generation of Autonomous Collaborative Platforms, or ACP, a system that enables unmanned aircraft to fly in challenging environments, incorporating modularity, interoperability, adaptability, and scalability, thereby providing new technologies to counter adjacent adversaries at a fraction of the cost of conventional systems.
